NAME: Youichi Kuramochi
AGE: 17

CANON HISTORY: Here it is!
CANON PERSONALITY: At first glance Kuramochi doesn’t look like a caring or warm person. He looks like a delinquent that doesn’t take anything from anyone. If someone challenges him he won’t back down and he doesn’t mind getting into a fight. He’s competitive and if there’s something on his mind he won’t hesitate to let it out. However, there’s a soft side under his tough exterior. He can be a warm, caring guy that loves to play harmless pranks and video games. The way he cares comes out in different ways with different people. It might look like he has a short fuse, but it’s far from that.

Any time he kicks or snaps at someone it’s to let out his frustration over the fact that they’re trying to bring themselves down. He doesn’t like when that happens. He will make sure to let that person know how great they are and bring up the atmosphere too. He may be quick to snap at someone, but he’s just as quick to make sure that everyone is having a good time.

He’s very observant, being able to see things that others may try to hide. He will fuss at the person from trying to hide it from him, but he won’t stop anyone from playing if that’s their decision. He will be watching and ready to jump in if they need him. He wants to make sure that, that person doesn’t hurt themselves any further. He also wants them to know that they can rely on him if they need to. Being loyal is one of his qualities that carried over from his delinquent days. He will protect his friends even if he ends up in trouble in the process, he will do it.

One of his favorite things to do is joke with his friends. He likes to play pranks on them, play video games, and have a good time. When he’s comfortable with someone he can be a very easy going guy. However, being close to him doesn’t stop him from speaking his mind. He will be very straight forward and not sugar coat anything. It’s not that he’s trying to scare them, he wants them to be prepare for what’s ahead of them.

He’s always had amazing talent for baseball even at a young age. He’s mostly known for his speed on the field along with his strong defense, but he never took it seriously. Instead of honing his talent he became a delinquent and jumped on others without a second thought. His behavior led him to being banned from the schools in his district, which gave him a wakeup call about his future. When Seidou recruited him he took the chance and didn’t look back. So when he’s being hard on his juniors it’s because he knows what it’s like to have your reputation follow you. It’s one of the reasons he kicks his juniors when they talk about giving up. He almost gave up when he thought he messed up all his chances to play baseball, but he didn’t. He picked himself off the ground and worked hard to get where he is. He knows that everyone around him can do the same.

On top of his hard working nature comes his competitive one. Kuramochi isn’t one to give up. He will continue to fight for as long as he can then longer after that. He carries this same nature into his life. He will be upset if he loses, but he will learn from it and secure victory for next time.

Under all the gruffness, Kuramochi has a lot of respect for the people in his life. His mom, his juniors, his seniors, and people from rival teams has helped shape him to be the person and player he is today. It’s helped him curb that temper that lingered from his delinquent days. While he still may wrestle his junior from time to time, he’s behind him all the way. He still feels bad about not being able to take his seniors to Koshien before they graduated, though he’s honored that they were able to play together for so long. He may tease his juniors, but he knows they’re very talented too.

Speaking of honor, Kuramochi is a very honor based person. When he makes a promise he doesn’t take it back. When he has a goal he’s going to accomplish it. When he finds out that someone trusts him with something he’s going to make sure that person doesn’t regret it. He will go out of his way for his friends and anyone that he cares very much about. One of the worst things for him is to let someone down. If he can’t help it, he will work hard to make sure that he doesn’t make that mistake again.

Kuramochi may look very rough, but he can be quite charming too. Whenever that side comes out, he’s polite and a gentlemen. It only comes out when there’s someone he’s trying to impress. He goes back to his regular personality once everything is over. However, while this side of his personality isn’t as prominent as the others, he is softer around people he knows he would scare away.

Overall, Kuramochi doesn’t do anything without a reason. If he’s tough on someone it’s because he knows that they can do better. His observant nature comes from a place of caring. He’s hardworking because he knows that nothing can come out of sitting around. His competitive nature comes from his determination to become a better baseball player and a better person.

These layers make up Youichi Kuramochi, the cheetah of Seidou.

SKILLS/ABILITIES: Kuramochi doesn’t have many exceptional skills. He’s a well-rounded baseball player with a preference for being a switch hitter, he can bat depending on which side the pitcher is going to throw the ball, though his batting isn’t very strong. He does have a strong defense making it easy for him to sense where the ball may be heading. His field sense is very strong as well, making it easy for him to catch balls in the outfield or steal a base. While his other skills may be average or a little above average, his speed can’t be matched. He’s so fast he can go on par with a player form a nationally ranked school in Tokyo. Kuramochi plays video games when he isn’t on the field and is pretty good at them.

AU NAME: Youichi Kuramochi

PHYSICAL DIFFERENCES: Instead of his greenish hair it’s brown. His eyes will stay the same though.

AU HISTORY: • Born in the Chiba prefecture Kuramochi stays there until he’s eight years old when his mom and grandfather decides to move to Recolle. His mom got a better job there, she liked the schools, and she wanted to get Kuramochi away from the troubling route he started to go down.

• Kuramochi didn’t settle into Recollé easily. During his first year, he gets into fights nearly every day, until he overhears his mom and grandpa talking about why they moved. He didn’t know that his behavior caused the junior high schools in his area to be wary about letting him enroll. He didn’t know he caused a lot of trouble for his family either. After that he starts to clean up his act. While he doesn’t get into fights with anyone anymore he does stand up for others when bullies are around. From there his new reputation changes from being a bully to protecting people from bullies instead.

• While Kuramochi slowly settles into Recollé he starts to miss his friends from home. He nearly goes towards the same crowd even when he’s trying to be good. However, that stops when he meets Anya (constellates permission granted) at school one day. He tries his hardest to resist her friendship when it doesn’t last long. He finally stops fighting it and they become friends. He starts to finally settle in Recollé and stays away from the yankee lifestyle. He starts to make other friends with Anya becoming one of his oldest friends in Recollé.

• Without being involved with the delinquent life style he stayed at home with his grandfather and his mom. His grandfather introduced him to baseball while his mom introduced him to cooking. He would cook after school with his mom when he didn’t have baseball practice. He continues both hobbies well into high school. It’s something he isn’t going to stop anytime soon either. While he’s not looking to be a professional baseball player he doesn’t mind playing a game in the neighborhood. He does keep cooking as a hobby, he likes that he can give his mom a break every once in a while.

• In elementary school he joined the baseball team in Recollé. He stayed on the team all through elementary and junior high school where he became shortstop. When scouts saw his speed he was recruited to the baseball team in Recollé high school where he continued to play up until his third year. In his third year he quits to focus on his studies along with his part time job.

• During his years on the high school baseball team he meets Eijun Sawamura. (tire permission granted) On top of being one of his former teammates and juniors they also live in the same apartment complex, so Kuramochi sees him a lot. While he does tease and wrestle Eijun a lot he supports him a lot. He continues to look after Eijun after he leaves the baseball team and takes care of him as his senpai.

• He joins the student council during the last two years of junior high. He carried it over to high school where he focuses more on his duties during his third year of school. On top of performing his duties in the student councils he checks on the younger students to make sure that they do well in their studies and helps problem students. Since he had a start as a trouble child, he knows how to help and talk to them.

• During the summer he volunteers as a coach for the Recollé Little League Team. He teaches kids how to play and the fundamentals of baseball.

• Kuramochi works part time as a delivery boy at a restaurant. He’s become known as one of the fastest delivery boys even going as far as making a delivery on foot when something happens to his bike.

• Since he doesn’t go to practice anymore when he’s not doing his student council duties, he’s either helping around his neighborhood, playing a video game at home, or working part time. However, he does make time to go see Recollé high school baseball games. He may not be part of the team anymore he still wants to support them.

• Now that he’s a third year, he’s looking at college and different majors that he would be interested in pursuing. He hopes that he can get in on a scholarship. He’s going to continue trying to get one while looking into other options. Kuramochi doesn’t know what he wants to do when it comes to college. He does know that he wants to work in physical therapy with athletes and will probably go pursue it.

• He’s a big wrestling and video game fan. He will look into different events regarding both hobbies and tries to go to them when he has the time.

AU PERSONALITY: • Since he didn’t become a yankee Kuramochi has more patience. He won’t fly off the handle, though he does have a limit. He only tries to curb his anger when he’s out in public. He lets it out in places where he won’t be seen or where the incident won’t be reported back in city.

• He’s actually more mindful of his reputation and appearance in school. Since Miyuki isn’t around he’s not yelling in class or grabbing someone by the scruff of their shirt. He’s quiet and well behaved, only giving out warnings when he’s in class then talking with the person after school.

• While he’s still straight forward, he isn’t as rough when he gives advice. He’ll try to relax the person with video games or another fun activity before he talks to them.

• Now that he doesn’t have a yankee reputation to keep up he becomes flustered much faster. He dorks out much faster when someone talks about one of his favorite hobbies too.

• He’s friendlier and makes friends easier now that he’s not as aggressive.

• In canon his motivation to fight was his other yankee friends. Now his motivation is to keep the school safe for other students. He doesn’t start as many fights, but he won’t hesitate to defend himself or someone else if there’s a bully around. While Kuramochi won’t fight everyone he will make sure that other students can come to him and he will check it out to make sure it doesn’t happen again.

• He helps out much more too. Between growing up in Recolle and being a delivery boy he has a good sense of direction. If someone is lost he doesn’t mind showing them the way.

• While he’ll fuss a lot over different things, he’s not really angry. Now it takes him a little longer to be angry enough to punch someone without thinking about his surroundings or the people around him. However, he does try to calm down if certain people are around or if he’s in the neighborhood. He doesn’t want it to get back to his mom or to cause any trouble for her.

• His polite, gentleman side comes out more now when he meets someone new. He normally shows this side when he’s doing school tours, making deliveries, helping around the neighborhood or showing a new student around the school.
